Home EV charger installation in Los Angeles
A 240-volt Level 2 charger for the garage or driveway. A main panel upgrade, when the charger needs one, goes on the same price.

A Level 2 charger runs on its own 240-volt circuit, the same kind a clothes dryer uses. Plugged in overnight, it covers a typical day's driving for most cars. The charger is usually the smaller part of the price. Most of the figure tends to sit in the wiring: how far the circuit runs from your main panel to where you park, and whether the panel can take one more circuit.
The chargers we install
- Tesla Wall Connector
- ChargePoint Home Flex
Each goes on its own circuit, sized to what your main panel can carry. Both are rated for outdoor use, so a driveway or carport wall works as well as the garage. Your price names the model.
When the main panel is too small
Older Los Angeles houses often have a 100-amp or 125-amp main panel. If yours can't take the new breaker, or the house already draws close to the panel's limit, it needs an upgrade before the charger goes in. That upgrade sits on the same price as the charger, on a line of its own, and both are in front of you before you sign.

What moves the price
- The distance from the main panel to the charger
- The route: through the garage ceiling, or along an outside wall in conduit
- An upgrade to the main panel, where the charger needs one
- A detached garage, which needs a run of its own out to it
- The charger model
What your price shows
- The charger by maker and model
- The circuit, from the breaker in your main panel to the charger
- The main panel upgrade as its own line, if the house needs one
- The cash price, as one figure
How it goes
- Tell us where you park and your main panel's size if you know it. A photo of the main panel with its door open, breakers showing, helps. The price comes back by the next business day.
- If the panel or the route turns out different when we see them, the new figure and the reason come in writing before you sign.
- You sign, and the price is fixed. We run the circuit and mount the charger.
- Your final bill matches the price you signed.
Questions about EV chargers
Can solar charge the car?
Yes, whenever the car charges while the panels are producing. If you are pricing solar as well, mention the car. A new car won't show in your last 12 months of bills, and we size solar from those.
Do I need a new main panel?
Not always. A 200-amp panel with space for the breaker often takes a charger as it is. A smaller or full panel may need the upgrade, and the photo helps us tell which before we price it.
Can I add a battery at the same time?
Yes, on the same written price, as its own line. Home battery backup explains how the backup is sized, and the charger can be one of the circuits it carries.
